Suspected BOMB found at Sundowns match
Bomb or fireworks? A suspicious device was discovered by police at Loftus Stadium during the African Football League final.

An alleged bomber has been detained by police at Loftus Stadium after being caught with a device resembling an explosive.
The incident took place during the inaugural African Football League final between Mamelodi Sundowns and Wydad Casablanca.
Masandawana were crowned the inaugural champions after a 2-0 second leg win over the Moroccan outfit.

In a viral video, police can be seen holding the device while removing wiring from the underneath seats on the stand to the dismay of crowds around them.
According to social media posts, it had been other fans who alerted police to the man.
The alleged bomber Charles Max, appeared to have accreditation for the match, with his designation being Ceremonies Performance Crew’.

Other social media users however have questioned whether or not the suspect isn’t instead employed as a pyrotechnician.
A quick Google search revealed that according to the Oxford dictionary, a pyrotechnician is a skilled individual in the use of fireworks.
Police have yet to clear the air on what exactly the device they have confiscated it used for.
