Sundowns and Pirates to play in the MTN8 final, Khanye predicts

Former Kaizer Chiefs winger Junior Khanye believes Mamelodi Sundowns and Orlando Pirates will play each other in the MTN8 final.

The two teams are in action this weekend in the MTN8 semi-final second leg.

Downs drew 1-1 in the first leg with Chiefs and are favourites to seal the tie having scored a late away game at the FNB Stadium earlier this month.

Khanye gives Chiefs no chance against Masandawana

Pirates on the other hand, are on foot into the final, having beaten Stellenbosch 2-1 away from home.

Khanye, who is now a iDiskiTV analyst, had predicted Sundowns to knock Amakhosi out of the Wafa Wafa cup.

“Sundowns are going to progress tomorrow, Chiefs will be eliminated tomorrow,” he told iDiski Times.

“By 17:30, Chiefs will be eliminated and the score will be quite clear. Chiefs need to score, they need to come out.

“Molefi Ntseki approached the first leg very defensively but tomorrow he doesn’t have a choice,” Khanye added.

Chiefs need to win or at least play to a scoring draw which could see them through should they score two or more goal and play to a draw.

“If Chiefs score, they will score one, not more, but I can see Sundowns score three. Sundowns are going to dominate the game as usual.

“The are very strong, they are consistent, they’ve got quality players. They’ve mastered a system, they’ve got a quality young coach, who understands his players. He has signed players according to his philosophy,” said Khanye.
