A South African businessman is reported to be recovering from a local health facility following a life-threatening ordeal in Nigeria.

SOUTH AFRICAN BUSINESSMAN ATTACKED IN NIGERIA?

“One of our dearest Mi7 family members, Neil Sellick, was unfortunately shot during a business trip in Nigeria,” Mi7 National Group reported.

According to the company, Neil is in high spirits and has been admitted to a local hospital for treatment.

“Neil has been a pillar of support to us at Mi7 and we are all eternally grateful that he is well.”

The company went on to say, “From all of us here at Mi7, we wish Neil a speedy recovery, our prayers are with him and his family during this time. Stay strong, soldier”.

It is unclear at this stage which State or City the South African businessman was in when the incident took place. Also, details surrounding the cause of Sellick’s shooting remains sketchy.

Nevertheless, those who knew this South African businessman conveyed their messages of support to the patient.

Meanwhile in Cape Town, a 40-year-old well-known businessman was killed on Imam Haroon Street, Lansdowne at around 10:00 on the morning of Friday, 9 September. Reports by the SAPS revealed that Cape Town businessman Khalid Parker was walking across the road when he was attacked by three unknown suspects.

Western Cape SAPS spokesperson Sergeant Wesley Twigg said that Parker sustained a gunshot wound to his head and was declared deceased at the scene.

Tigg stated that the suspects fled the scene and the motive for the attack could not be established. A case of murder was opened.
