Brace yourselves! MASSIVE increase in fuel prices was confirmed on Monday. Here is what you will be paying for fuel from midnight on Tuesday, 5 September.

Petrol (both 93 and 95) will increase by 171 cents per litre, while diesel will increase by between 276 and 284 cents per litre. Illuminating Paraffin will rise in cost by 278 cents.

Load shedding pushed to stage 6

Stage 6 load shedding would continue until further notice, according to Daphne Mokwena, a representative for the embattled power utility.

“As previously announced, stage 6 load shedding will begin at 5:00 on Tuesday and last until further notice due to the loss of two further power units today.

Light SNOW and rain expected TODAY in these parts of SA

Light SNOW and RAIN are expected in these parts of the country today. 

The South African Weather Services (SAWS) said that light snow is expected over the Ceres mountain range on Monday morning. 

“Weak cold fronts will cause light showers and rain along the coastal areas and adjacent interiors. Mostly dry and sunny for the remainder of the country.”

Parents of grade 1 and 8 pupils for 2024 in Gauteng, can begin to expect responses for their children’s application as of 4 September 2023.

The Gauteng Department of Health says 62 bodies of victims who died in a fire at a hijacked building in the Johannesburg CBD are unidentifiable.

The fire occurred in the early hours of Thursday, 31 August claimed the lives of at least 78 while multiple others were injured and are still in hospital.
