A young businessman/entrepreneur has had the fright of his life this week, after he was stalked by a ‘racist dog’ at his AirBnB. Wandile Mthiyane had booked a month at the accommodation in Durban, only to realise that he’d be sharing the property with a Pitbull-mix.

Can it get more dramatic than this? A learner recently left the nation in shock when she arrived at her matric farewell in a COFFIN!

Meanwhile, former President Jacob Zuma has expressed gratitude to all those who stood by him during his incarceration.

Zuma, who was sentenced to 15-month imprisonment by the Constitutional Court in June 2021 was declared a free man by the Correctional Services on Friday, 7 October. 

Newly elected Gauteng Premier, Panyaza Lesufi has announced new members of the Executive Council (MECs). 

South Africans will get to enter the weekend on a positive note as Eskom has announced that load shedding has been suspended from Saturday morning, 8 October 2022. 

The embattled power utility had cited lower weekend demand and adequate emergency generation reserves.

Can it get more dramatic than this? A learner recently left the nation in shock when she arrived at her matric farewell in a COFFIN!

@LebogangNM posted two images on Twitter of a matric learner arriving at her ball in a coffin on Saturday.

WATCH: Man terrorised by ‘racist dog’ in Durban AirBnB

A young businessman/entrepreneur has had the fright of his life this week, after he was stalked by a ‘racist dog’ at his AirBnB. Wandile Mthiyane had booked a month at the accommodation in Durban, only to realise that he’d be sharing the property with a Pitbull-mix.

The owner of the property, identified only as a ‘white South African lady’, allegedly told her guest that he would have to ‘share the garden’ with the prejudiced pup. She even suggested creating a schedule where Mthiyane and the racist dog would co-ordinate their outside times.

The whole exercise has been beyond humiliating for the young go-getter, who expressed concerns about his safety while in the AirBnB.

Finally! Load shedding SUSPENDED from Saturday morning

South Africans will get to enter the weekend on a positive note as Eskom has announced that load shedding has been suspended from Saturday morning, 8 October 2022. The embattled power utility had cited lower weekend demand and adequate emergency generation reserves.

“Loadshedding will be suspended at 05:00 on Saturday morning. While the generation capacity constraints persist, the suspension of load shedding is possible due to the anticipated lower weekend demand, as well as adequate levels of emergency generation reserves,” said Eskom spokesperson Sikonathi Mantshantsha in a brief statement.

‘Relieved to be free again’: Zuma on his expired jail sentence

Former President Jacob Zuma has expressed gratitude to all those who stood by him during his incarceration.

Zuma, who was sentenced to 15-month imprisonment by the Constitutional Court in June 2021 was declared a free man by the Correctional Services on Friday, 7 October. 

In a statement, Zuma said he is relieved to be free again to walk around and do whatever he wants without restrictions and having to seek permission.

Lesufi makes bold promises as he announces new Gauteng MECs

Newly elected Gauteng Premier, Panyaza Lesufi has announced new members of the Executive Council (MECs). 

Lesufi made the announcement during a media briefing on Friday, 7 October in Midrand where the new MECs were sworn in. The new Premier said his main focus is on improving the lives of people in the province and budgets will be prioritised for hostels, townships and informal settlements.
