The Democratic Alliance (DA) has confirmed the death of party stalwart James Selfe, who passed away on Tuesday afternoon.

Meanwhile, the Hawks have apprehended two additional individuals linked to the tragic killing of five-year-old Ditebogo Junior Phalane.

RIP: DA stalwart James Selfe dies aged 68

The Democratic Alliance (DA) has confirmed the death of party stalwart, James Selfe, who passed away on Tuesday afternoon.

He was 68.

Selfe died peacefully, surrounded by family and loved ones, following a lengthy battle with illness.

Fisherman killed, two injured when boat capsized 

A fisherman was killed while two were injured, and one is still missing when their boat capsized near Shelly Point, West Coast. 

According to the National Sea Rescue Insitute (NSRI), the Mykonos station commander Nic Stevens this happened on Monday at around 16:04. 

Two more suspects arrested in Ditebogo Junior Phalane murder case

The Hawks have apprehended two additional individuals linked to the tragic killing of five-year-old Ditebogo Junior Phalane.

In collaboration with the Arcadia Crime Prevention unit and Tshwane District CI, the Pretoria-based Hawks team conducted a coordinated operation to apprehend the suspects aged 29 and 30 on Monday.

The previous Friday, the Gauteng High Court in Pretoria dismissed the government’s request for permission to appeal an earlier judgment.
