Parts of Tshwane will experience a water outage for 8 hours on Tuesday

In a proactive move to enhance its water supply network, the City of Tshwane has scheduled crucial upgrading work on a bulk pipeline at Reeds Extension 63 along the Old Johannesburg Road (R101) causing a water outage in certain areas.

On Tuesday, 6 February, the maintenance operation causing a water outage in parts of Tshwane will commence from 8:00 to 16:00, spanning eight hours.

Efforts will be made to minimise water supply disruptions, but residents in specific areas may experience intermittent interruptions.

The KwaZulu-Natal Department of Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs (Cogta) has activated disaster management teams as severe thunderstorms and rain are expected on Monday evening.

On Monday, the South African Weather Service (SAWS) issued a yellow level 2 warning for severe thunderstorms.
