Economic Freedom Fighters leader Julius Malema has taken a resolute stand in his support of Palestine and promised to organise weapons, should the red berets win the 2024 general elections.

Meanwhile, Floyd Shivambu said Kaizer Chiefs should use the opportunity to look for a coach after Molefi Ntseki was fired from the club.

The club confirmed that it fired Ntseki on Monday, 23 October.

In other news, self-proclaimed philanthropist Malcolm X (57) and three police officers Desmond Campbell Kekana (52), James Mpho Sekhaolela (45), and Raymond Mphuwa Mokaile (38) appeared in the Alexandra Magistrates’ Court today, Monday, 23 October, facing two counts of corruption and extortion.

The Gauteng High Court in Pretoria has ruled that Senzo Meyiwa murder accused Bongani Ntanzi was detained unlawfully when he made his alleged confession.

Lastly, eight beaches in the City of Cape Town have been awarded Blue Flag status by the Wildlife and Environment Society of South Africa (WESSA), while two others were awarded pilot Blue Flag status.

Julius Malema vows to ARM HAMAS

Economic Freedom Fighters leader Julius Malema has taken a resolute stand in his support of Palestine and promised to organise weapons, should the red berets win the 2024 general elections.

‘We cautioned from the beginning’: EFF’s Shivambu on Molefi Ntseki

Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) deputy president Floyd Shivambu says Kaizer Chiefs should use the opportunity to look for a coach after Molefi Ntseki was fired from the club.

The club confirmed that it fired Ntseki on Monday, 23 October.

Ntseki joined Kaizer Chiefs in June 2021 as Head of Technical and Youth Development after he was sacked by the South African Football Association just after 20 months as Head Coach of Bafana Bafana. He took over as the Kaizer Chiefs senior team Head Coach in June 2023.

Eight City of Cape Town beaches awarded Blue Flag status

Eight beaches in the City of Cape Town have been awarded Blue Flag status by the Wildlife and Environment Society of South Africa (WESSA), while two others were awarded pilot Blue Flag status.

WESSA uses 33 criteria across four categories to determine whether a beach meets the requirements for Blue Flag recognition. The categories are Environmental Education and Awareness, Water Quality, Environmental Management and Safety Services.

Senzo Meyiwa trial: Magistrate confirms Ntanzi was unlawfully detained when he ‘confessed’

The Gauteng High Court in Pretoria has ruled that Senzo Meyiwa murder accused Bongani Ntanzi was detained unlawfully when he made his alleged confession.

This was revealed by State witness and magistrate Vivienne Cronje when she took the witness stand on Monday, 23 October.

On Monday, defence lawyer for accused 5 Advocate Zandile Mshololo cross-examined Cronje who testified that she took down Ntanzi’s alleged confession and further recorded it without Ntanzi being aware.

The accused are alleged to have participated in corrupt activities when they solicited gratification to the tune of R580 000, according to Phindi Mjonondwane, the NPA Spokesperson for Gauteng Local Division.
