Seven people were injured when a freak wave hit Marina Beach Restaurant on Sunday.

Mi7 National Group’s Emergency Medical Services said the incident happened around 16:00 on Sunday.

“At around 16:00, the Mi7 National Group’s Emergency Medical Services was dispatched to the Marina Beach area near Southbroom after reports of a freak wave that struck a beach-side restaurant filled with patrons.”

LOOK: Marine Buoy that washed up in Bloubergstrand

A Marine Buoy washed up in Bloubergstrand in the Western Cape on Sunday due to the storm surge. 

The spring high tide on Saturday caused DESTRUCTION on Saturday and Sunday, and some of it was caught on camera.

Taps run dry in THREE Gauteng hospitals

The ongoing water challenges experienced in Johannesburg has been hard felt by public hospitals as taps run dry forcing patients to rely on family to bring them water during visiting hours.

The Gauteng department of Health had to direct water tankers to three hospitals, Rahima Moosa Mother and Child Hospital, the Helen Joseph Hospitals in Johannesburg, and the Pholosong Hospital on the East Rand as taps run dry over the weekend.
