There was no sign of any alleged assault on Joslin Smith’s mother, Kelly, when she appeared in court on Wednesday.

Bail was abandoned for three of the four accused, including Joslin Smith’s mother, Kelly, on Wednesday.

In a shocking turn of events, the state has withdrawn charges against accused number four Phumza Sigaqa.

In other news, several streets in Tshwane will be affected by the National Union of Metalworkers of South Africa (Numsa) march against Road Accident Fund (RAF) chief executive Collins Letsoalo.

The march will take place on Thursday, 14 March.

Parts of Cape Town will face an eight-hour power outage next week Wednesday, 20 March.

Joslin Smith: Was Kelly assaulted in prison?

All eyes were on Joslin’s Smith mother, Kelly, on Wednesday as she took her spot in court, this time not only for her involvement in the disappearance of Joslin but to see if there were any bruises visible.

This comes after several reports surfaced earlier this week alleging that Kelly was assaulted in the Pollsmoor Prison.

Joslin Smith: NO BAIL for THREE of the accused

Bail was abandoned for three of the four accused, including Joslin Smith’s mother, Kelly, on Wednesday.

In a shocking turn of events, the state has withdrawn charges against accused number four Phumza Sigaqa. 

All four, Jacquen Rowhan Appollis, Steveno Dumaizio van Rhyn, Racquel Chantel Smith (Kelly), and Phumza Sigaqa, appeared in the Vredenburg Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday. 

The three remaining accused,  Jacquen Rowhan Appollis, Steveno Dumaizio van Rhyn and Racquel Chantel Smith (Kelly) are expected back in court on 13 May 2024.

Tshwane streets affected by the NUMSA march over RAF CEO

Several streets in Tshwane will be affected by the National Union of Metalworkers of South Africa (Numsa) march against Road Accident Fund (RAF) chief executive Collins Letsoalo.

The march will take place on Thursday, 14 March.

Numsa is calling for the RAF CEO to be fired because of the disastrous state of the entity.

Planned 8-hour power outage to affect these parts of Cape Town

The City of Cape Town Electricity Generation and Distribution Department will be doing infrastructure maintenance in Lansdowne, resulting in an eight-power outage.

The City of Cape Town performed the maintenance on Tuesday, 13 February, and it was scheduled to be carried out again on Tuesday, 20 February. However, the municipality cancelled it.
