A Durban woman who slammed into a man who allegedly robbed her of her handbag has been hailed a hero. She said the Lord just put his foot on her foot and she just kept going

The 43-year-old South African woman, Sandy-Lee Ward, faced danger when two attackers stormed her at a shopping center, attempting to steal her handbag.

Durban TAZZ driver may face charges of her own

A Durban woman who pursed robbers with her car and hitting one after they attempted to hijack her and stole her purse, may possibly face charges of her own.

Video footage of the incident which was captured on CCTV before going viral, shows the two suspects approach the woman’s car- a Toyota Tazz, as she exited shopping centre in the Bluff.

With her handbag stolen, the driver who has now been identified as Sandy-Lee Ward- then decides to pursue the assailant who had run off on foot.

Manhunt launched after five people were shot and killed in Gugulethu

Provincial Serious Violent Crimes (SVC) detectives have initiated a murder investigation following an incident where five people were shot and killed in Gugulethu, Cape Town. 

The incident reportedly happened on Saturday evening, 30 September. 

South African Police Service (SAPS) spokesperson in Western Cape Colonel Andrè Traut said reports indicate that two vehicles were parked on the side of the road in NY 5 in Gugulethu at approximately 23:00 when a number of suspects were dropped a few metres from the two vehicles by another vehicle.

Johannesburg Water announces 15 hours WATER SHUTDOWN on Tuesday

Some suburbs in Johannesburg will endure an outage of up to 15 hours after Johannesburg Water announced an unplanned water shutdown.

The water shutdown will take place on Tuesday, 3 October from 7am to 10pm, according to Johannesburg Water.

AVIAN FLU: DA calls on govt to assist farmers

As the poultry industry battles a quick spreading strain of the avian flu, the Democratic Alliance(DA) has called on government to assist poultry farmers with vaccines.
