The South African Weather Service (SAWS) has issued a yellow level 2 warning for severe thunderstorms in parts of the country on Monday, 18 Monday.
The weather service said severe thunderstorms with strong damaging winds, large amounts of hail and heavy downpours are expected over the southern parts of the Free State, south-western parts of KwaZulu-Natal, the extreme north-eastern parts of the Eastern Cape, as well as the Mpumalanga escarpment areas.
