Sizok’thola former presenter Xolani Khumalo hands himself to the cops again

It is reported that the Sizok’thola presenter handed himself at Hillbrow Police Station where he was detained after additional charges were added to his existing criminal case.

Xolani Khumalo, the former Sizok’thola presenter on Moja Love, has again handed himself to the police today, Thursday, 30 November.

WHY IS FORMER SIZOK’THOLA PRESENTER HANDING HIMSELF OVER?

It is reported that Khumalo handed himself at Hillbrow Police Station where he was detained after additional charges were added to his existing criminal case.

Khumalo hosted a drug-busting show in which he exposed the underground world of drug dealing. However, in one of the filming sessions, a shoot went wrong after an alleged drug dealer died at the hands of Khumalo and his crew.

WHAT HAPPENED AT XOLANI KHUMALO’S RECENT COURT APPEARANCE

He appeared at the Palm Ridge Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday 21 November for murder, a charge relating to the death of a drug dealer named Robert “Kicks” Varrie who had been the subject of a drug bust at his Katlehong home on 19 July, which was attended by the Sizok’thola crew.

Coincidentally, Moja Love terminated Khumalo’s contract after the presenter landed in hot water.

ADDITIONAL CHARGES FACED BY KHUMALO

During the proceedings, State prosecutor Pheelo Vilakazi told the court that Khumalo faces additional charges on the matter.

In addition, the National Director of Public Prosecutions Shamila Batohi resolved Khumalo’s case, which has now been postponed to 22 February 2024, to be transferred to a regional court.

It is reported that the new charges Xolani Khumalo faces relate to business robbery, assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm (GBH), armed robbery and malicious property damage.
