The second of seven SHIFT Gaming Experience qualifiers is taking place at Rosebank Mall from 12 to 14 May 2023 with the National gaming final taking place in August 2023.

SHIFT Gaming Experience

It’s a gaming-focused event. Taking place over five months at seven different Hyprop shopping centres. It has free gameplay on a number of games for different ages and gaming experiences. The SHIFT Gaming Experience is one of the largest national gaming tournaments in South Africa played on FIFA 23™.

The tournament includes seven qualifiers and a national final.

Rosebank mall Event:

The Rosebank Mall Qualifier had an online tournament where four competitors have already qualified for the Sundays Qualifier final.

The in-centre qualifiers are taking place from Friday 12 to Sunday, 14 May 2023 at Rosebank Mall. Players register in-centre- and hour before the heat. Limited registrations are available but they are open to all ages.

The winner if the Qualifer final will go through to the National Final, taking place on 27 August 2023 at Canal Walk Shopping Centre, the final event of the series.

1st Place – R2500 Rosebank Mall Gift Card
2nd Place – R1500 Rosebank Mall Gift Card
3rd Place – R1000 Rosebank Mall Gift Card

National Final Prizes:
1st Place – R20 000 cash
2nd Place – R10 000 cash
3rd Place – R5 000 cash

FREE PLAY Gaming

Various titles will be available on gaming stations for shoppers to play at their own leisure and with spot prizes for selected achievements. These include:

• Rocket League​ 
• Brawlhalla​ 
• Aim Lab​ 

The tournament, cup and activation titles are also available for free play during times when tournaments, cups and activations are not taking place.
