The trial of the five men accused of killing former Bafana Bafana captain Senzo Meyiwa will resume at the Gauteng High Court in Pretoria on Thursday, 1 February.

On Wednesday, lead investigator, Brigadier Bongani Gininda wrapped up his testimony.

Five men are on trial for the murder of Meyiwa who was shot at the home of his girlfriend and singer Kelly Khumalo on 26 October 2014. The men are Muzikawukhulelwa Sibiya, Bongani Ntanzi, Mthobisi Prince Mncube, Mthokoziseni Maphisa and Fisokuhle Nkani Ntuli.

The men face charges of premeditated murder, attempted murder, robbery with aggravated circumstances, possession of firearms without a licence, and possession of ammunition. They have all pleaded not guilty.

WHEN DO COURT PROCEEDINGS START?

Court proceedings typically start at 10:00, adjourn at 13:00 for lunch and resume again at 14:00. However, due to unforeseen circumstances on a particular day, there are delays, and sometimes court adjourns for either tea or lunch earlier than the set times indicated above.
