SASSA: How to apply for the R350 SRD grant online

SASSA R350 grants are one of the social grants paid every month. But can you still apply for the R350 SRD grant online?

SASSA pays more than 18 million social grants. Disability and Older Persons (or Pensioners) grants are some of the social payments made to beneficiaries each month.

Can you still apply for the R350 SRD grant?

The R350 grant is meant to provide relief to South Africans who lack an income.

Many have used their social grants to start businesses, while others use the funds for food and other essentials.

You can still apply for your R350 grant online! Here’s how to do it:

The R350 social grant is meant to provide relief to South Africans who are in need.

News says that the R350 social grant could be increased in future. Some citizens have called for the increase to be up to R1, 500, according to news reported by The South African website.

SRD grant applications are still ongoing.

If you pass the means test, then you can still apply for your R350 SASSA grant.

It’s possible to apply for your R350 social grant online.

Grant applications can be made at this link on the SASSA website. Details like your cellphone number (and ID number) might be required.

Recent proof of income and residence documents can also be necessary for an application.

After your application, your details are forwarded for the means test. The means test assesses whether your information is accurate, and if you qualify for the specific social grant.

Where to check your grant status

 Successful grant applications will receive an SMS.

Make sure that your message really comes from the SA Social Security Agency. Confirm information in any claimed SMS with the correct department.
