Postbank has officially confirmed that SASSA gold cardholders can breathe a sigh of relief as their cards will remain operational beyond the initially announced expiration date of December 2023.

Initially, worries arose about SASSA gold cards expiring in December, urging cardholders to renew. Fortunately, plans changed, and the cards stay valid for grant access.

SASSA GOLD CARDS VALID BEYOND DECEMBER 2023

Postbank guarantees no SASSA gold card replacements are needed; they’ll work for grant payments post-December 2023. Only Postbank can replace them; other banks cannot.

The gold cards remain convenient beyond expiration. Countrywide ATMs accept them, ensuring easy and quick fund access for beneficiaries.

Beneficiaries should report retailers pressuring purchases before grants for a seamless process. The gold cardholders get extra perks like fee-free withdrawals and statements, ensuring uninterrupted access to funds.

SASSA gold cards can only be replaced by Postbank. Any other bank can’t replace the cards.
ATMs around the country accept SASSA cards, making them convenient and reducing waiting times.
Before grants are paid out, beneficiaries should report any retailers forcing them to buy stuff. The full grant payment goes to the beneficiaries.
With the gold cards, customers can withdraw money in shops free of charge, get statements for free, and check their balances for free.
