Upgrades to the N2 between Makhanda and Fish River Pass will result in intermittent road closures this coming week.

The South African National Roads Agency SOC Limited (Sanral) advises motorists travelling on the N2 in the Eastern Cape on Monday to plan their trip accordingly due to road closures.

The N2 between Makhanda and Fish River Pass will be closed for three hours for blasting operations. The road will be closed between 3pm and 6pm.
“The temporary road closures are unavoidable as Sanral continues its work to upgrade the N2 in the Eastern Cape, which will ultimately be to the benefit of road users,” says Mbulelo Peterson, Sanral Southern Regional Manager.
“Motorists are requested to plan their trips accordingly, consider alternative routes and use caution when making use of the roads,” said
