The Road Traffic Management Corporation (RTMC) has alleviated pressure on its back after launching a partnership with WeBuyCars to improve the vehicle registration backlog.
The Honourable Minister of Transport, Sindisiwe Chikunga launched this groundbreaking public-private partnership, which intends to improve vehicle registration and change of ownership on Tuesday, 22 August 2023 at WeBuyCars in the Dome.
“The new solution will usher in a secure, paperless, business-to-business environment to allow the motor vehicle trading and financing sector to transact seamlessly on the Natis system,” said RTMC.
The Road Traffic Management Corporation (RTMC) has piloted the solution with WeBuyCars and is now ready for full implementation.
This partnership is a first of its kind and the RTMC intends it to be the first of many as it continues to seek solutions to make transacting on the Natis system seamless for both members of the public and business stakeholders.

This actually talks to service delivery that we are taking to doorsteps of those that we serve so that it doesn’t take longer now to register a car and that we minimise any criminality and fraud that can actually happen when you register a car,” Chikunga explained.
