Rise Mzansi to launch Election Manifesto in Tshwane

New political party Rise Mzansi will present its election manifesto to the people of South Africa on Saturday 20 January 2024 in Tshwane.

New political party start-up, Rise Mzansi, will launch its election manifesto in Tshwane on Saturday, 20 January 2024, ahead of the much-anticipated 2024 elections.

Rise Mzansi was founded in April 2023 and It’s led by former Business Day editor, Songezo Zibi, who said it would contest the polls in the 2024 elections. The launch will be held on the Heartfelt Arena in the capital city.

SEVERAL PARTIES EXPECTED TO LAUNCH MANIFESTOES

Several political parties will be launching their election manifestos with the African National Congress (ANC) and Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) expected to launch their manifestos in February and March 2024.

The Inkatha Freedom Party (IFP), 2024 National and Provincial Election Manifesto on Sunday, 10 March 2024. The party says its manifesto will draw from its recent policy conference.

MANIFESTO FOLLOWS PEOPLE’S DECLARATION

Rise Mzansi says it’s an anti-corruption and reform-focused party and it will present its manifesto to the people who are looking for a
political alternative that will build a safe, prosperous, equal, and united South Africa where everyone can live a happy and dignified life.

“The People’s Manifesto follows the adoption of the People’s Declaration during 3-days of deliberations at Constitution Hill at the beginning of October 2023,” said Danisile Sathekge, the party’s national spokesperson.

FORMER DA YOUTH LEADER JOINS PARTY

Seasoned opposition politician and member of the Gauteng legislature, Khume Ramulifho has become the latest black leader to resign from the DA to join political start-up Rise Mzansi.

Speaking to Daily Maverick on Tuesday, he stated that the Multiparty Charter has made the DA believe that it no longer has to attract black voters as the IFP already is a strong force within the constituency.
