Reminder: SASSA Older Persons Grant collect THIS WEEK

The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) have announced the grant payment dates for November on their Twitter/X account. If you’re collecting your social grant this week, be informed about the payment dates so that you know which day to expect your grant.

Recipients of the Older Persons Grant can collect their payments this week.
Here’s what to know about the Older Persons Grant, and other grants which have been scheduled to be paid for November.
SASSA Older Persons Grant
The SASSA Older Persons Grant is meant to provide financial aid to pensioners and the elderly. If you collect the Older Persons (Pensioners) Grant, then you can collect your payment from Thursday (2 November) this week.

If you have been Approved for payment, you can collect your payment from authorized retailers or regional offices. Those who have listed their bank accounts or have a gold card, will receive the same payment electronically into their nominated account.
Other SASSA grant payment dates
The SASSA team have also announced the other social grant payment dates for November.
Disability Grants will be issued from November 3, whilst all other grants will be paid out from 6 November (next Monday).

Expect to receive your social grant on the stated date. If you don’t receive your grant as expected, contact your nearest regional office or visit a SASSA branch.
What happens to the Gold Card?
Grant recipients who are using their Gold Card for grant payments can also breathe a sign of relief. While the social grant agency has previously announced the expiry for cards as December this year, they have updated recipients on this matter.

Gold cards will still remain valid after December 2023, according to information on the SASSA website. If you use your card to collect your social grant, there’s no more need to apply for a new card unless yours has been stolen or lost.
