A 70-year-old pensioner who won the Powerball jackpot of nearly R50 million has claimed his prize.
The pensioner played via the FNB banking app on Tuesday, 8 August.
PENSIONER WINS R50 MILLION POWERBALL JACKPOT
According to Ithuba the pensioner opted for a Quick Pick ticket with a wager of R15 and won R49 934 523.
The 70-year-old said the prize gives him the means to secure a comfortable future for his family.
“My three children and four grandchildren will now have the opportunity to live comfortably and without financial worries. It’s a dream come true to know that they will be taken care of,” he said.
