Power outages plague various areas of Tshwane due to storm damage
Storm damage caused power outages in different areas of Tshwane, plunging sections into darkness with unknown restoration time.

Technicians from the City of Tshwane are tackling power outages across the City following recent stormy weather.
The storms made it hard to fix the power quickly.
“In response to the situation, we have mobilised maximum resources since this morning to address the backlog,” said City of Tshwane in a statement.
Technicians strategically deployed for faster restoration
Technicians are going to areas in Tshwane where there are power outages. They organise based on how close they are to the places needing help. This helps them get there quickly and fix the power faster.
“We are committed to ensuring that power is restored to all our consumers as soon as it’s practically possible.”

However, they also urged patience from residents during this time of heightened demand.
“We plead with our customers to exercise patience while we strive to reduce the backlog.”
