Police close case of Gogo who was raped until morning

A case of a 62-year-old woman who was raped until the next day has been closed by the police due to outstanding DAN results.

Police have reportedly closed a case of a 62-year-old woman who allegedly have been raped until morning.

According to Daily Sun, the 62-year-old gogo from Palm Ridge, Ekurhuleni, was allegedly raped from 7 January 2023 until the morning of 8 January.

‘HE RAPED ME UNTIL MORNING’

It is alleged that the perpetrator attacked the victim as she was coming back from the tuck shop in the evening.

“He pointed a gun at me and said we must go to my house. I tried to scream and he hit me multiple times in the face. He raped me until the morning. I told him I wanted to pee and he said go and when you come back, I will do it for the last time and leave.

“After he was done raping me, I went straight to the police and I was taken to the hospital. The doctor confirmed that I was raped and the man was arrested,” the report quoted the woman as saying.

POLICE OFFICER BRIBES VICTIM WITH SIX-PACK BEER, KFC, AND R1 000

The following day, the perpetrator was roaming the streets.

Going back to the police to enquire why was her rapist free, the police officer who was handling her case took her to the shop where he bought her six pack of beers and KFC.

The police officer further offered the woman R1 000 to drop the charges against her rapist.

POLICE CLOSED THE CASE, DNA OUTSTANDING

The case was postponed to 24 February 2023.

However, according to the Women for Change organisation, said the case was closed. It is alleged that DNA is still outstanding.
