In the Western Cape, police actively pursued information to clear the streets of drugs and guns. Sea Point police seized drugs, guns, and, cash during the investigation, leading to arrests.

Their suspicions grew upon entry, prompting them to broaden their probe.Discovering a key inside a residence, they searched the parked vehicle on-site. Opening the trunk yielded drugs and cash, leading to arrests by the police.

A 23-year-old woman and two men aged 29 and 36 were apprehended for drug dealing, according to Arrive Alive.

Sea Point police members rushed to a crime scene in Cavalcade Road

On Monday, 28 August, Sea Point police hurried to Cavalcade Road in Green Point due to a grave, violent incident. Upon arrival, their suspicions grew, prompting an agreement to widen their inquiry.

The police seized a vehicle key found in the residence and searched the parked car on-site. Popping the trunk, they confiscated drugs and cash. Subsequently, the trio was detained for drug dealing.

Flying Squad acts on tip in the Lingelethu-West business robbery

On Tuesday, 29 August Maitland Flying Squad members acted on a tip regarding suspects in a Lingelethu-West business robbery.

They went to Mthawelanga Street in Ilitha Park and conducted a thorough search, resulting in the seizure of a 9mm pistol, a fake firearm, phones, and cash.

Seven men, aged 31 to 35, were apprehended by the police for possessing an unlicensed firearm, ammunition, and presumed stolen items.

After being charged, the suspects will be required to appear in Cape Town and Khayelitsha Magistrates’ Courts for their alleged offenses.
