An official notice informs Johannesburg residents of an impending emergency power outage at Sebenza Substation.

Scheduled for Saturday, 27 January, the Johannesburg power outage will take place from 8:00 to 17:00.

Johannesburg power outage will impact these areas

The affected areas during this period include Observatory, Kensington, Yeoville, Bertram, Lorentzville, Houghton estate, Belle-Vue, Cyril Dene, Linksfield Ridge, Judith’s Paarl, Bellevue East, Bezuidenhout Valley, Troyeville, Highlands, and Observatory Ext.

The necessity for this power outage stems from the imperative need to clear trees that are in contact with the power lines.
