Last day of the SASSA payment cycle for October and over 13 millions child support grant beneficiaries will be paid today

The biggest day in the South African Social Security Agency’s (SASSA) payment cycle is the payment of child support grant.

GRANT BENEFICIARIES IN NUMBERS

More than half of SASSA grant beneficiaries, -excluding the SRD R350 grant- receive the child support grant.

According to statistics revealed by the agency in March, of the nearly 19 million beneficiaries, over 13 million are beneficiaries of the child support grant.

Most of the child support grant beneficiaries reside in KwaZulu-Natal with 2 979 233, Gauteng 2 016 750 and Limpopo 1 999 191.

CARE DEPENDANCY GRANT

KwaZulu-Natal ranked highest once more, with the highest beneficiaries for care dependency grant. This grant covers children.

The care dependency grant is a grant developed to assist and provide support to parents, primary caregivers and foster parents of children with severe mental and/or physical disabilities, who are in need of full-time and special care.

SASSA KZN BENEFICIARIES PAY-POINTS

Grant beneficiaries in KwaZulu-Natal have been urged once again, to withdraw their funds in retail stores and ATM’s as several Post Offices in the province are running low on cash due to cash delivery delays.

With can be withdrawn at supermarkets such as Checkers,Shoprite, USave, Boxer, Spar, Pick n Pay money markets, till points as well as ATM’s.
