The Pastor was shot dead while conducting a service in his church in Nseleni township, in KwaZulu-Natal.

The ACDP described Myaka as a peaceful man of God who had no known enemies and was not involved in politics until he was recruited by the Provincial leader, MPL Bishop Eric Manqele to join the party.

The party said the rate of killings in Kwazulu-Natal has escalated to unbearable proportions. It is time that both the provincial and national governments take serious steps to deal decisively with the high rate of crime in the country, in particular the Kwazulu-Natal province. “It is evident that the plans implemented by Minister of Police, Bheki Cele, to curb violence in this province, are not working…The ACDP calls for swift arrest and conviction of criminals as an indication that there is political willingness to eradicate crime in SA,” the party added.
