On 20 January we celebrate international day of acceptance.

This valuable day teaches us to accept each other with a heartwarming back story.

History of international day of acceptance

To improve the world, Annie Hopkins formed 3E Love.

She designed the international symbol of acceptance, which features a wheelchair in the form of a heart.

Together, the event and the emblem convey the 3E Love ethos of devotion, equality, respect, and understanding, which may be adopted and valued by individuals of all abilities.

3E Love is a family-owned and operated business that works to empower people through pride and passion rather than charity.

Taking control, following our dreams, and being the best version of ourselves, regardless of physical limitations, is what defines us, and Annie’s goal of sharing this with as many people as possible has proven to be a source of inspiration all over the world.

Founder of 3E Love dies – but her memory lives on

Annie died on 20 January 2009, as a result of complications during a routine medical procedure.

Her memory lives on in the hearts of her friends and family, as well as the International Symbol of Acceptance.

Stevie Hopkins, Annie’s brother who assisted her in starting 3E Love, paid tribute to his sister’s selfless efforts and vowed to keep them alive.

Stevie and his family started an annual celebration of Annie’s life and work on the first anniversary of her death.

This invites everyone to participate in various ways, from drawing the symbol on your hand or cheek, ordering buttons and T-shirts from the website, or simply changing your social media profile pictures to the logo for the day.
