“Allowances have been paid today, 31 July 2023, for the month of August,” the institution confirmed, further providing banking safety tips:

HOW TO SECURE YOUR ALLOWANCES

We’d like to remind you of some important banking tips:

  • There are a lot of temptations out there trying to get you to spend, spend, spend, but we want to remind you of the importance of budgeting and spending your allowance wisely.
  • Don’t share your personal details, login pins and other security data with anyone. It is for your eyes only.

Also, NSFAS has assured students that they are working tirelessly to ensure that all beneficiaries receive their NSFAS bank cards to transact with. However, those without the new black card, are being assisted in accessing their allowances virtually.

Meanwhile, the first-ever payment of allowances through the #NSFASBankAccount were made on 30 June 2023.
