PATRONS INJURED IN SOSHANGUVE SHOOTING

In the videos, a white polo sedan can be seen parking outside Nkadimeng Pub, and a few men descend. One of the men walks ahead and rushes inside the pub to other patrons as he fixes his balaclava. It is not clear if the two who followed him are his accomplices.

Other patrons outside can be seen grabbing their alcohol and running for their dear lives as the men pass. The gunman starts shooting randomly inside the establishment while patrons enjoy their drinks. Some try to take cover, but the gunman keeps shooting all over the room, and they lie on the couches and the floor.

STATE WITHDRAWS CHARGES AGAINST ACCUSED

The incident comes as the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) has decided to withdraw criminal charges against all accused in the Nomzamo tavern shooting incident.

Six men were arrested and appeared at the Orlando Magistrates’ Court for charges related to the deaths of sixteen people that were killed.

As previously reported by The South African, Gauteng Police Commissioner, Lieutenant General Elias Mawela said that 23 people were injured and 12 were confirmed dead at the scene and 11 were rushed to hospital and two people died in hospital. The death toll increased to 16 a day later.
