What was meant to be a press conference hosted by Ngizwe Mchunu, a former radio presenter for SABC’s Ukhozi FM who was fired after allegedly breaching a confidentiality policy, ended badly

Mchunu is no stranger to news headlines, he recently lost a vehicle sponsorship from JAC Motors following his “tribalistic” comments made in November last year.

Mchunu called the press briefing to announce the full details regarding his plans to stop the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) from staging its manifesto at Moses Mabhida stadium in Durban on 10 February.

The Ukhozi FM presenter has repeatedly made utterances directed at EFF leader Julius Malema, saying he will stop the EFF from campaigning in his home province of KwaZulu-Natal.

In a video that went viral on social media, Mchunu was heard saying KZN belongs to the Zulu people and that Malema must launch his party manifesto in his home province of Limpopo.

“Why don’t you host your party’s manifesto in your backyard in Seshego, so your ancestors can support you,” he was heard saying.
