Miss SA 2023 Natasha Joubert is keeping to her promise to make a difference in the lives of aspiring students in South Africa by partnering with Boston City Campus to give 31 students a bursary.

The Natasha Joubert Collective Education Bursary

Natasha surprised the 31 students who had entered the bursary programme with the announcement that all of them were selected to study with Boston City Campus.

The students were under the impression that the online meeting that Natasha was a part of, would be when they learned who amongst the 31 had been chosen as the bursary recipient.

“This Zoom meeting, isn’t because you guys are shortlisted, it’s because every single one of you have received the Boston City Campus bursary.

All of you are going to study through Boston starting this month (February).

I just want to say that I have read each of your motivational letters, and saw your applications and I relate to many of your stories.

I want you to know that maybe I was the link between Boston and you guys, and I hope that this qualification can change the direction of your life.”

The reigning Miss SA shared with the students that she also studied at Boston City Campus in Arcadia after winning a bursary by competing in pageants.

Natasha shared that after her father passed, her mother was unable to afford to send her to university to study and it was thanks to the bursary she won at Boston that she was able to.

When she won the pageant last year, Natasha emphasized her dream to pay it forward and change the lives of other students who were financially excluded.

“We’ve been working so hard on selecting students, going through their applications as well as their motivation letters and we had the privilege to inform them that they have been chosen to be part of the Natasha Joubert Collective Education Bursary programme with Boston City Campus.

This month 31 students will be embarking on their education journey.”
