The South African Weather Service (SAWS) says severe thunderstorms, hail and heavy rain are expected in some provinces on Wednesday.

The South African Wesather Service (SAWS) has issued a yellow level 2 warning for severe thunderstorms in parts of the country.
The thunderstorms are expected on Wednesday, 22 November 2023.
The weather service said severe thunderstorms producing heavy downpours, large amounts of small hail and damaging winds are expected over the Western Bushveld of Limpopo, and the eastern parts of Mpumalanga.

Futhermore, the weather service said isolated to scattered showers and thundershowers are still expected over the eastern parts of the country.
A yellow level 1 warning for damaging waves has also been issued for the Western Cape.
“Damaging Waves resulting in difficulty in navigation at sea for small vessels and personal watercraft are expected between Table Bay and Plettenberg Bay (Western Cape), subsiding from the evening,” the weather service said.
