The Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) says South Africa remains a country reconciled by theory following an alleged racist attack at Maselspoort Resort and Conference Centre in Free State.
In a video widely circulated on social media, two black teens were assaulted by white men for swimming in a “reserved for whites only” pool.
EFF WEIGHS IN ON MASELSPOORT RESORT RACIST ATTACK
The party, known for its no-nonsense stance regarding racism, visited the resort on Monday, 26 December, and met up with management.
The EFF said it blames Maselspoort Resort management for enabling such actions by having a whites-only pool that made the men who attacked the teenagers think that’s the space for white people only.
“We are further disappointed in the failure of Maselspoort Resort management to deal with the act of racism on their facilities correctly. White people need to unlearn the logic that they deserve their own space; this is the highest form of nonsense that has been tolerated for the longest of times.”

According to the South African Police Service (SAPS), on 25 December 2022 at about 15:03, Glen police were called to a fighting incident at a holiday resort in Bloemfontein. On arrival, members found the groups already dispersed. They were then approached by a parent of one of the victims who alleged that his two teenage boys aged 18 and 13, were assaulted by a group of white males over the usage of a swimming pool.
