Buthelezi had treated a Durban hospital after developing complications following a minor procedure to alleviate prolonged back pain in July.

Though well enough to be back home, family spokesperson Bhekuyise Buthelezi says the founder of Inkatha Freedom Party (IFP), will not be resuming his duties soon.

“As uMntwana now continues his recovery, we would like to again make the point that uMntwana will not immediately return to work”, says Bhekuyise.

“Therefore, he will not be able to meet with delegations at kwaPhindangene or his different offices, or resume his busy diary as yet,” he adds.
