Following a luxury car gift from Julius Malema, the AbaThembu nation’s charismatic leader King Buyelekhaya Dalindyebo has revealed that mining billionaire Patrice Motsepe and the late former president Nelson Mandela also bought cars for the majesty himself.

KING GETS HIS MERCEDES-BENZ COUPE

As The South African reported on Saturday 13 November, the Xhosa King received a special car gift from EFF leader Julius Malema.

The luxury toy is a brand new Mercedes-Benz GLE Coupe SUV that costs R1.8 million. The gift was unveiled at a glitzy event at the King’s Nkululekweni Palace in Mthatha.

“CIC Julius Malema and DP Floyd Shivambu unwrapping the EFF gift to His Majesty King Buyelekhaya Dalindyebo,” the red berets said in a social media post that included live images of the event.

“DP handed the keys to the appreciative hands of His Majesty.”

The event was soon followed by public outrage. South Africans dismissed the EFF’s gesture as nothing but a bribe to earn voting support in the Eastern Cape region.

DALINDYEBO RESPONDS TO HATERS

The AbaThembu leader did not waste any time before rejecting the public’s criticism of the event. He revealed once receiving a van from South Africa’s late former president Nelson Mandela, as well as a Hyundai SUV from the mining magnate Patrice Motsepe.

“I want you to know that the ANC also bribed me. Mandela bought me a van when he was still the president of the ANC, yet no one said anything about that,” he said as quoted by News24.

“There is a man named Patrice Motsepe. He bought me a Tucson. It’s still in a good condition, being driven around by my father-in-law.

“If you are in your right mind, why would Patrice Motsepe bribe me? Make no mistake he is a member of the ANC. He did not give me a car because of politics.”

“The CIC [Malema] knows me that I am not someone to be bribed,” Buyelekhaya Dalindyebo concluded.
