Man gets LIFE for the RAPE of a 15-year-old girl

The Brits Regional Court sentenced a 26-year-old man to life in prison for the rape of a 15-year-old girl.

HE RAPED THE GIRL IN HIS SHACK

The North West Provincial Police Commissioner, Lieutenant General Sello Kwena, welcomed the life sentence handed down to Itumeleng Moyo.

The convicted accused was sentenced in connection with the rape of a 15-year-old girl in 2016. Evidence was that the girl was with her friends at Mountain View, Oukasie, on the night of 31 December 2016 when Moyo attacked them.

He then took the victim forcefully and threatened her with a knife. The accused took the girl to his shack, where he raped her. He was positively linked by DNA, found guilty on Thursday, 26 January 2023, and sentenced on 15 March 2023. Police welcome Moyo’s life sentence for the rape of a 15-year-old girl.

Lieutenant General Kwena applauded Sergeant Ndubane from the Brits Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences (FCS) Unit and all other role players.

In an unrelated incident, The Polokwane High Court gave the 36-year-old Themba Prince Willards Dube eight life sentences plus 88 years.

Dube, an illegal immigrant, was sent to prison on two counts of rape, six counts of murder, five counts of robbery with aggravating circumstances, one count of extortion, one count of theft, and one count of possession of the stolen property.
