Harry Maguire reluctant to leave Manchester United

Harry Maguire is in no hurry to leave Manchester United despite getting a green light from his coach Erik ten Hag.

Manchester United defender Harry Maguire wants to say at the club despite Erik ten Hag giving him the green light to look for another team.

The 30-year-old started only eight league games for United last season having been dropped from the starting eleven earlier in the season.

Maguire in no hurry to leave United

Ten Hag has preferred the centre-back pairing of Lisandro Martínez and Raphael Varane.

Maguire appears to be out of favour with the Dutch coach who is keen on selling the England international to fund a move for Napoli’s Kim Min-jae’

Victor Lindelof iand Luke Shaw have recently been preferred at centre back meaning the former Leicester man has fell behind n the pecking order. But despite being ommited, talkSPORT have claimed Maguire would prefer to remain at the club.

Earlier this week, Manchester United were reportedly offering Harry Maguire as part of sensational transfer package in order to bring Chelsea ace Mason Mount.

The Red Devils were asked to pay £70million.to secure Mount but it is believed that they can only reach an agreement of £50m which will include their captain.

Chelsea supporters have slammed United for reportedly including Maguire as a makeweight in a potential deal to sign Mason Mount, Football London reported.

United boss has opened the door for the defender to leave if he feels like he needs to get gametime. His contract runs until 2025 but could be loaned out for the 2023/24 season should a permanent move fail to materialise.

Man United are looking to release about 13 players this summer.
