A 28 year old mother, Samantha Dannecker, unexpectedly died while giving birth to her first child, baby girl, Lyla Grace.

Samantha Dannecker, 28, from New York, United States of America unexpectedly died while giving birth to her first child on 25 March.

Samatha was giving birth at Richmond University Medical Center.

Samatha’s sister-in-law Vanessa Dannecker said that the family is beyond devastated by the incident.

She said Samatha’s baby girl, Lyla Grace is doing well.

“Little Lyla is home and doing well! She is eating good, sleeping a ton and had her first pediatrician visit. She is currently clocking in at a whopping 5 lbs 5 oz,” she said.

CONDOLENCES POUR IN FOR SAMATHA’S FAMILY

Besides working at a Pre-K center in Richmond, Samantha spent many hours volunteering her time for Have A Heart Foundation of Staten Island, a foundation that meant the world to her and her family, People reported.

One close person to Samatha, Maria Seaman described her as a person who was always kind.

“Samantha was such a sweet, beautiful girl who I had the priviledge of teaching in Holy Rosary School. She was an exemplary student who was always kind to every person she met. I am deeply saddened to hear of her passing. My condolences to all of her family members as well as her husband and baby girl” said, Seaman.

A GoFundMe page was opened on behalf of Samatha’s husband and their daughter to support them as they begin to navigate this unspeakable new journey.
