Live Sport on TV for Friday 28 September

Rugby

There’s some enthralling action from the Northern Hemisphere, as Cardiff entertain Cheetahs in the Pro14 – that kicks off at 20:45 and will be live on SuperSport 1.

Soccer

Friday night means we’re going Iberian. Nothing says it’s the weekend like a live clash from La Liga, and we’ve got Rayo Vallecano vs Espanyol on SuperSport 7 at 20:55. Muy Bueno.

Golf

It’s only the bloody Ryder Cup, isn’t it? The US take on Europe in one of the biggest sporting events on the planet. You can catch the first day live right now, as coverage continues until 19:00 on SuperSport 2. On Saturday, it’s on from 8:00 – 19:00, and the final day will be broadcast from 12:00 – 19:00 on Sunday (SS2).

Live Sport on TV for Saturday 29 September

Rugby

We’ve all had a couple of weeks to bask in the glory of beating the All Blacks, but now the Springboks are back to the serious business in Port Elizabeth. South Africa take on Australia in the Rugby Championship, kicking off at 17:00 on SuperSport 1. Build up will begin at 16:00.

If you need something to whet your appetite, there’s also Currie Cup action earlier in the day. Western Province host Sharks in the 14:00 kick-off, broadcast live on SS1.

Soccer

Deep breaths, please. We’ve got eight massive Premier League fixtures on Saturday. You can’t call yourself a soccer fan if you’re away from the games between 13:30 and 21:30. Right, here’s how it’s looking:

First up on SuperSport 3, Manchester United travel to West Ham for the 13:30 kick off. Then, it’s onto the 16:00 kick-offs – it feels like a proper Saturday afternoon of years gone by, with six games in the “traditional” slot.

It’s Man City vs Brighton on SS3, Newcastle vs Leicester on SS4, Arsenal vs Watford on SS5, Huddersfield vs Tottenham on SS6, Everton vs Fulham on SS11, and Wolves vs Southampton on SS12.

Our evening game is also on SS3, and it’s such a massive one, it gets its own paragraph. For the second time in four days, Chelsea face Liverpool as the top two in the EPL defend their unbeaten records.

But let’s not forget that there’s a huge game coming to us from Durban on Saturday as well. SuperSport United and Cape Town City battle it out in the MTN8 final at 19:00, live on SuperSport 4.

There’s are two absolute barnstormers from Serie A as well. It’s the Rome derby between Roma and Lazio at 15:00, before Juventus host Napoli in a massive game at 18:00. These two took the title race to the wire last year, where Juve ended up eventual winners. Both matches are live on SS9.

Cricket

We’ve not had a decent international T20 clash on our screens for a little while, so why not remedy that with a bit of Australia vs New Zealand? The women’s international match gets underway at 11:05.

F1

It’s the Russian Grand Prix this weekend, and the chasing pack will be looking to chop into Lewis Hamilton’s 40-point lead at the top of the table. Catch qualifying from 13:55 on SuperSport 5.

Live Sport for Sunday 30 September

Rugby

As promised, the second fixture for the Rugby Championship kicks off at 00:30 on Sunday morning between Argentina and New Zealand. Perfect post-pub viewing. The coverage will be live on SuperSport 1.

At a more sociable hour on Sunday, you can watch T14 action as SF Paris entertain Racing. That gets underway at 17:00 and will be shown on SuperSport 5.

Soccer

You can never have too much of a good thing, right? There’s Cardiff vs Burnley in the EPL at 17:00 – live on SuperSport 3 – and we have some NFD action too, as Richards Bay entertain Ajax Cape Town from 15:00 on SS4.

Cricket

South Africa take on Zimbabwe in the first ODI of the Momentum series. You can watch willow hitting leather all day on SuperSport 1, as coverage begins at 9:55.

F1

For those of you who think sports require a motor, we’ve got the Russian GP race live from 13:05. Keep it locked on SuperSport 5 for all the drama.
