As police were examining the scene of the shootout, they found another body, bringing the total to 19, not the previously reported 18.

A shootout with police in Limpopo has resulted in the deaths of 19 more people. Last night, while the murder scene was being cleaned up, the 19th body was found.

In a shootout with the police on Friday in a home in Eltivilas in Louis Trichardt, the deceased were killed.

They are allegedly linked to the recent uptick in cash-in-transit robberies in three provinces, according to police.

What else did the police find as they were examining the scene of the shootout?

Tshilidzini hospital, located outside of Thohoyandou, has received the bodies of the 19 allegedly killed cash-in-transit robbers.

The process of families recognizing their relatives will continue on Monday, according to the police.

SABC reported, the Hawks’ spokesperson, Matimba Maluleke, claims that three reportedly stolen automobiles from Gauteng were discovered.

“As we were examining the scene, we found another body in one of the house’s rooms, bringing the total to 19, not the previously reported 18, as we were processing the scene. Three vehicles that had allegedly been stolen in Gauteng were discovered on the scene when we examined it, along with some weapons,” according to Maluleke.

How many bodies have been identified?

Although their relatives have not yet arrived to confirm this information, it has come to light that a gardener and a domestic helper were among those killed. Only two of the 19 people have been given names. The deceased, who resided in Louis Trichardt, was a Tshikota resident, her family has verified.

The second deceased has been identified as a Zimbabwean national who owned the house where the shootout occurred.
