The case against  Uyajola9/9 presenter and rapper Molemo “Jub Jub,” who faces 13 charges, has been postponed to next month.

The 13 charges include multiple counts of rape, indecent assault, assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm and several counts of kidnapping.

According to reports, a warrant of arrest will be issued if Maarohanye fails to appear in court on December 11.  

The case against the rapper was postponed in the Johannesburg Magistrate’s Court to December 11 on Wednesday.

THE CASE AGAINST THE RAPPER WAS POSTPONED

The matter was previously before the court in August following a request by Maarohanye’s lawyer, Terrence Ntsako Baloyi, for additional time to study the docket.

The charges against the rapper date back to 2006.

THE RAPPER HANDED HIMSELF OVER TO POLICE IN JULY

In July, the rapper handed himself over to the South African Police Service (SAPS) following a warrant that was issued for his arrest on three counts of rape, two of attempted murder and one of assault.

He was later released on bail of R10,000.

Earlier Jub Jub said:

“Everybody is entitled to do whatever that they want to do. In regards to that matter, I would rather not talk on it. I know who I am. I know what I stand for. I’ve got three beautiful sisters that I know for one, if anybody laid a hand on them, trust me, I would not wait for the justice system.”

On Friday, 3 November, the DStv channel said it had parted ways with Khumalo, although not stating why.

“Moja Love TV Channels has terminated its relationship with Mr Xolani Khumalo, presenter of one of the Channel’s leading shows, Sizok’thola. The channel will not be commenting on any matters relating to Mr Khumalo at this stage,” the statement reads.
