Isiseko primary remembers slain leaners in a memorial service

Isiseko primary school slain leaners will be remembered in a memorial service this afternoon. GP Education MEC will also attend.

The two Isiseko primary school learners who were brutally murdered in Soweto a week ago will be remember in a memorial service on Wednesday, 26 April 2023

MEC Chiloane to attend the memorial service at Isiseko primary

Gauteng Education MEC Matome Chiloane will attend the memorial service of slain Isiseko primary school learners in Soweto.

Mduduzi Nqobizitha Zulu was a 5-year-old, Grade R learner and Tshiamo Amogelang Rabanye was a Grade 1, 6-year-old learner.

Their bodies were found dead on Wednesday, 19 April 2023.

According to reports, the education district office in Soweto received a message on Thursday, 20 April 2023, alleging that learners from Isiseko Primary School were kidnapped and subsequently murdered.

The three boys (two Grade 1 learners and one Grade R learner) were abducted at around 07:30pm on Wednesday, 19 April 2023. Two of the boys were killed and one survived.

PREMIER LESUFI AND POLICE CONDEMN LAWLESSNESS

Police services are on a manhunt to find the perpetrators of this gruesome act on Isiseko primary leaners.

Premier Panyaza Lesufi admonished the culture of lawlessness that exists in societies such as Soweto, emphasisng that police resources will not be spared in hunting down the perpetrators.

“What has happened in this community is something that must not be tolerated. We are trying to establish the reasons behind this incident and we have no choice but to unleash state resources that we have at our disposal to ensure that the police do everything in their powers to understand why these people are behaving like this,”

said Premier Panyaza Lesufi.
