Guns blazing! Two men shot and injured near Sky City shooting in Alberton

Paramedics had their hands full on Saturday as several shootings were reported as well as accidents. In the latest shooting two men were shot and injured near Sky City in Alberton on Saturday morning. 

CIRCUMSTANCES SURROUNDING SHOOTING IS NOT YET KNOWN

 ER24 spokesperson Ineke van Huyssteen said paramedics arrived at the scene shortly after 07h30 on Saturday morning. 

“Paramedics found two men who had sustained gunshot wounds to the body.” 

She said one man had sustained serious injuries while the other man had sustained moderate injuries.

“One of the men was found with a gunshot wound to the chest while the other sustained a gunshot wound to the hand. Both were treated at the scene by paramedics before being transported to a hospital for further medical care.”

The exact circumstances surrounding the incident are not known to our paramedics, but local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.

In an unrelated shooting, two men were shot and killed in a shooting in Elandsfontein Agricultural Holdings. 

BOTH MEN WERE DECLARED DEAD ON THE SCENE 

Van Huyssteen said the shooting took place at the Elandsfontein Agricultural Holdings near the R25.

“Two men sustained fatal injuries following a shooting incident in Elandsfontein Agricultural Holdings close to the R25 this morning.”

She said when paramedics arrived at the scene shortly after 08h30, they found a vehicle with two men.

Van Huyssteen said two people sustained fatal injuries following a two-vehicle collision on Midstream drive in Midstream on Friday evening.

When ER24 paramedics arrived at the scene shortly before 20h00, they found two patients inside one of the vehicles. Unfortunately, the man and the woman had sustained fatal injuries and they were declared dead by paramedics. The driver of the second vehicle sustained no injuries.

The exact circumstances surrounding the incident were not known to our paramedics.
