Africa Day is commemorated annually on 25 May 2020 and celebrates the foundation of the Organisation of African Unity in 1963.

In the spirit of learning and unity, Google released a list of 54 questions to research on Africa Day, such as how many languages are spoken in Africa, or the national dish of Ethiopia.
Many South Africans heeded the call, and the search phrase “Africa Day” was the most used on Monday, 25 May, with more than 50 000 search queries logged.

Snow settled on Brandwagberg near Worcester on Monday for the first time this year, and South Africans hurried to Google and social media for photos and videos.
The phrase “Weather today” was also searched for more than 10 000 times. Do take note that disruptive snowfall today could lead to road closures in the Eastern Cape on Tuesday, 26 May.

At the end of the 30 days of fasting, Muslims celebrate Eid al-Fitr which translates to “festival of breaking the fast” in Arabic. It is accompanied by a special prayer in the morning, usually at an outdoor location or a mosque.
Visits to friends and relatives follow after the prayer, along with giving gifts and making phone calls to distant relatives to exchange greetings of “Eid Mubarak” or “Blessed Eid”.
The traditional greeting is Eid Mubarak, which means ‘happy holidays.’ The phrase ‘Eid Mubarak’ is exchanged between Muslims throughout Eid. The phrase “Eid Mubarak” was searched more than 20 000 times.
Technical glitches plagued the TERS relief system on Monday, with netizens turning to Google for answers. As per the website, the applications for the month of May had been put on hold.
The UIF’s director of communication and marketing, Makhosonke Buthelezi, said that the e-filing site was working, but had “some challenges” still needed to be resolved.
Kirby is Kendall Jenner’s (fictional) secret twin brother who photoshops himself into images of Kendall. The creator was created in 2015 and had 1.3 million followers on Instagram as of 25 May 2020.
No one knows who Kirby really is, although his Instagram account reveals that he is an “amateur model. Kirby has received nominations for the Webby and Shorty Awards in social humour, best photography, and parody accounts.
