Former Orlando Pirates star celebrates birthday in West Africa

Former Orlando Pirates star Kudakwashe Mahachi is topping trends in the backdrop of his birthday.

Despite his dramatic stints in the DStv Premier League, the star has been having his fair share of glory with Ghanaian Champions Medeama SC after joining them ahead of the 2023/24 season.

In the backdrop of his move to West Africa, he has been topping trends as Mzansi joined him to celebrate his birthday. Mzansi was more than puzzled by Kudakwashe Mahachi’s age.

He is older than he looks, and the abuse and attempted murder allegations seemingly took two years from his career.

The 30-year-old midfielder was born in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe, on 29 September. Of interest is the fact that he shares his birthday with Orlando Pirates legend Siyabonga Sangweni.

In the backdrop of his birthday, former players and fans have since flooded social media with congratulatory messages.

His transfer move to West Africa hogged headlines after the news dropped that the star had joined the Ghanaian giants after being off the pitch for 18 months.

Kudakwashe Mahachi was suspended with SuperSport United in 2022 because of his abuse and attempted murder allegations back home in Zimbabwe.

No doubt these woes took a toll on his career. However, he has since bounced back and has been winning big.

After all, he has since found his foot, and he has already since lifted a silverware with the club. Mahachi will also play with the West African giants in the CAF Champions League.
