The Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) in the Western Cape has slammed Strand High School for what it says is blatant display of perceived white supremacy and institutionalised racism.

The sentiment comes as the high school had shared an image on its Facebook page welcoming new teachers on Monday, 16 January.

EFF SLAMS STRAND HIGH SCHOOL

The party which is known for its stance against racism said it has it on good authority that more than 95% of the school personnel is constituted by whites and the rest are people of colour and black Africans.

Furthermore, the party said the sad state of affairs at Strand High School and many other similar schools sends out a wrong message that seeks to suggest that “only white people are worthy of either studying or being employed by the school and that it sees no need to bring in people from other cultural backgrounds to also form part.”
