A viral video is currently doing the rounds on social media, showing a drunk man disarming a member of the South African Police Service (SAPS).
The incident reportedly happened in Mafahlaneng, Free State. Watch the clip here.
Man disarms police officer
The video was shared on the Make SA Safe Facebook page on Tuesday 23 March. In it, the man can be seen disarming the officer and firing shots wildly.
The clip was taken by two civilians a few metres away, and it appears they’re hiding behind a wall. Shots can be heard in the background, as well as passersby screaming.
Seconds later, the officer flees the scene. We’ve reached out for comment and will update this article once more information has been made available.
