The memorial service for the 74-year-old iconic journalist and TV presenter Derek Watts will be held TODAY at 11:30.

DEREK WATTS MEMORIAL WILL BE STREAMED LIVE

Watts died on August 22 after battling cancer. He was diagnosed with skin cancer last year, which spread to his lungs.

He leaves behind his wife, Belinda, and two children, Kirstin and Tyrone. 

HE DIED LAST WEEK AFTER BATTLING CANCER

The past weekend, M-Net broadcasted a special documentary to celebrate the life and influence of Watts.

Thousands of viewers have come to love Watts’ probing style of interviewing and his unmistakable voice over the years.

He was a formidable investigative journalist with a strong screen presence – a magic formula that made Carte Blanche a must-see broadcast every Sunday evening.

Watts was admired by many for his humility, his charm, and his larger-than-life personality.
